Absentee Voting is open - vote early

A general election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 for the purpose of electing three members to its School Board.  The term of each open position is four years, from January 2018 to January 2022.

During the legal filing period this past August, three people filed their Affidavits of Candidacy for the ISD 197 School Board's three open seats:
    -     John Chandler of Mendota Heights
    -     Maureen Ramirez of West St. Paul
    -     Stephanie Levine of Mendota Heights

VOTE EARLY! No reason is needed to absentee vote.  Absentee ballots can be completed by mail, or in person at any of the following locations:
    -     ISD 197 District Office (1897 Delaware Avenue, Mendota Heights)
    -     Dakota County Government Center (1590 Highway 55, Hastings)
    -     Dakota County Northern Service Center (1 Mendota Road W, West St. Paul)
    -     Dakota County Western Service Center (14955 Galaxie Avenue, Apple Valley)

To absentee vote by mail, voters may download the Absentee Ballot Application and mail the completed application to School District 197, 1897 Delaware Avenue, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 with attention to Mary Amidon.  Please make sure you submit your application in a timely manner to allow enough time for the ballot to be mailed to you and for you to return your ballot before Election Day. Late ballots cannot be counted.

Absentee voting in person at the ISD 197 district office can be done between 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday and until 5:00pm on Monday, November 6.  On Friday, October 20th, absentee voting will only be open 8:00am until noon.  Please go to the Dakota County website for specific in-person voting hours at any of the other locations.

Your polling place may be different than it was for the 2016 General Election.  Please review our list of combined polling places on the sidebar OR you may go to mnvotes.org and click on Election Day Voting, click on Where Do I Vote OR you may call 651-403-7002.  On Election Day, the polls are open from 7:00am until 8:00pm.
