On November 8, 2016, voters in West St Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools (District 197) voted to renew the expiring 2007 Operating Levy for another 10 years.

Yes: 64.71% (15,170)
No: 35.29% (8,272)

The operating levy supports learning by helping to pay for the basic needs of the district such as books, supplies, teacher and staff salaries, operating expenses and more.

“We are very grateful to our residents for supporting our students, staff and schools by renewing the operating levy for another 10 years,” said Superintendent Nancy Allen-Mastro. “These funds will enable us to maintain our district’s financial stability and continue investing in our academic programming.”

The renewed operating levy will be in place until 2027.
