School Board approves ballot question for November operating levy. The one question referendum will renew for an additional ten years an existing levy that is slated to expire in 2012, as well as increase the district's levy authority to the state maximum. [read more]
Henry Sibley average ACT scores rise in 2010, remain above state average. The average ACT composite score of Henry Sibley students that took the exam was 23.5 out of 36 in 2010, an increase from 23.4 in 2009. [read more]

District science scores show moderate improvements; New program will bring more science instruction to middle school. The release of the 2010 Science Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) results indicate that overall, District 197 students are showing moderate gains in their science comprehension and skills. District 197 receives wellness grants to promote healthy lifestyles for students. These grants from Dakota County for the 2010-2011 school year cover Wellness Site Leader stipends, a contracted Registered Dietitian, an Active Recess grant, and additional "mini-grants" for individual school wellness projects.
