Minds in the Middle

Minds in the Middle, for students entering grades 6-8 for the 2024-2025 school year. The dates are July 8-August 1, 2024 from 7:45 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. This will be an in-person program located at Two Rivers High School.

Students were selected based on academic achievement in class as well as their FAST (Formative Assessment System for Teachers) scores and past MCA data. Students selected to participate are continuing to work on developing proficiency in academic skills in both reading and/or math. Students may also work on developing social skills, personal work habits, and independent learning skills. We will also have a physical education portion of the day to keep kids active. Registration closes on May 31, 2024.

We are excited to meet in person with students during the summer as we are planning activities that will encourage students to develop their reading and math skills. We will also focus on having students build relationships with peers through engaging activities personalized to students’ learning needs and interests. The goal of Minds in the Middle is to strengthen students’ confidence in academic learning and support their transition from one grade level to the next. Staff are committed to building relationships with students and will encourage students daily to work toward their full potential while having fun.
