Bus registration for the 2026-27 school year is now open.

Families only need to complete a new registration if:
- Their student is new to School District 197
- Their family has moved or changed addresses
- Their student has a new daycare location
- Their student was not registered for the 25-26 school year
- Their student was inactive from the bus for 10+ days
- Their student attends a non-public school (Saint Joes, Community of Saints, West Heights, Academic Arts)
Students who still need to register should complete registration by August 1, 2026, to help ensure transportation is available for the start of the school year. Late registrations may result in bus service beginning after the third week of school in the order received or alternative transportation arrangements. Learn more here.
How to Register
- Fill out the online registration form
- Download English bus registration form
- Download Spanish bus registration form
Bus cards with route information will be mailed the week of August 24. Parents can log into the MyRide K12 on August 24 to see the bus schedule. Visit the Transportation site for My Ride K-12 login instructions.

Application for Educational Benefits
While all students will receive free breakfast and lunch under Minnesota’s Free School Meals program, it is still important for families to complete an Application for Educational Benefits each school year. These applications help determine funding for school programs and supports, and eligible families may qualify for additional benefits such as reduced or waived athletics and activities fees.
The online application for the 2026–27 school year will open July 1, 2026. Families are encouraged to check back at that time to complete the form and learn more about additional discounts and benefits that may be available through outside organizations. Paper applications will also be available at schools this fall, and additional reminders will be included in back-to-school communications.
If you have other questions or need help, please call the Child Nutrition Department at 651-403-7320 or visit their webpage here.

Affinety serves the same purpose as EduTrack—registering for athletics and activities—but offers a more streamlined experience. Families can now browse all available programs in one place (with eligibility clearly noted), check sports physical status, and manage registrations more easily. Please note, the software system is in the process of constant updates and enhancements, so we appreciate your patience as we help improve the site. Please contact Dustin Boll at dustin.boll@isd197.org with questions or issues regarding registration.
Getting Started with Affinety
When visiting the site for the first time, select 'Create New Account' and enter your preferred email. From there:
- If your email is recognized (Infinite Campus email), you’ll receive a link to set up your password
- If your email is not recognized (email not in Infinite Campus), you’ll continue with the account creation
- Payment information from EduTrak will not carry over. You will need to re-enter payment information in Affinety.
- Instructions on account creation and registration can be found here.
