135 Two Rivers Students Earn AP Scholar Awards

School District 197 is proud to announce that 135 Two Rivers High School students (recent graduates and current students) have earned AP Scholar Awards for the 2023-2024 school year. The 135 AP Scholars include 41 AP Scholars with Distinction, 23 AP Scholars with Honor, and 71 AP Scholars.

"There are many things that I am proud of here at Two Rivers High School; at the top of the list is the number of students who are stretching themselves by taking rigorous coursework and are thriving,” shares Two Rivers Principal Al Johnson. “This is yet another example of being #WarriorStrong. Thanks to all the teachers, families, and other community members who have worked hard to support these young scholars, and congratulations!”

About Advanced Placement (AP) Courses and Exams
AP courses allow high school students to access college-level learning opportunities while enrolled at Two Rivers High School. Students who complete an AP course can take an optional exam and earn college credit, depending on their exam scores and admission requirements at the college or university they attend. An AP exam score of 3 or higher (on a scale of 1 to 5) earns credit at many of the nation’s colleges and universities.

There are three different levels of AP scholar recognition students can earn. These levels are defined by the scores received and the number of exams taken during a student’s high school career:

  • AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.

  • AP Scholar with Honor recognizes students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams.

  • AP Scholar with Distinction is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of the exams.

Congratulations to the following students for earning AP Scholar Awards for the 2023-2024 Exams:

We are proud to have so many students participating in AP and other college-level courses. Congratulations, scholars!
