Two Rivers Students Honored for Multilingual Skills
Please join us congratulating Two Rivers students who recently passed the state-recognized bilingual and multilingual seals test and earned themselves college credit! This winter, more than 40 students in grades 11 through 12 demonstrated language proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Amharic, Somali, French, German, Russian, and Spanish.
The Bilingual and Multilingual Seals were created as an official recognition by the state of Minnesota for proficiency in a language in addition to English. At School District 197, it’s a way for us to acknowledge the value of speaking more than one language, while also recognizing that students bring a variety of linguistic assets to our classroom communities. Congratulations, students!
