After three consecutive seasons as runners-up, the Dakota Hawks celebrated their long-awaited victory, finally claiming the state title they had worked so hard for. This past Saturday, (November 16), the Hawks triumphed with a 3-0 victory over the defending CI adapted soccer state champions, Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville at White Bear Lake.

“This is extra sweet for four-plus years,” Dakota United head coach Brett Kosidowski said. “It has been a great year. We’re [an older team]. We told the kids, ‘Hey, this is kind of our last shot to really make an impact before we have to start rebuilding, reloading.’ We knew what we had. We were building throughout the year.”

Despite the Blazing Cats strong goalie, Hawk team members Henry Eisele, Greidin Corley and Jacob Jackson scored. Even as their opponents ramped up the pressure late in the game, the Hawks played strong, sealing the tournament with an incredible shutout and no goals allowed! It was a true display of teamwork, with every player stepping up to protect their goal and secure the victory.
