Two Rivers Hosts Free Dental Clinic
Shoutout to Two Rivers Nurse Karen Leif for working so hard to coordinate a free dental clinic at Two Rivers High School yesterday. More than 40 students received a screening, cleaning, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants—which is a way to prevent permanent teeth from getting cavities.
“By having this free service provided during the school day on campus, we are able to not only keep our students in school, but can hopefully help families avoid costly dental services and help students feel more confident about their smiles,” Karen shared.
All services were paid for through Warrior Wake Up (our student-run coffee shop), GISA (the Gender Identity/Sexuality Alliance student group), and a school community donor. Thank you to everyone who made this additional student support possible—especially the team of "tooth fairies" who provided the dental health services!
