In December, Friendly Hills Students participated in their first-ever, all virtual school spelling bee.
School District 197 publishes news and information on a weekly basis throughout the school year. Teachers also use several tools to track progress, assignments, attendance, grades and more. Below are some tools to help you stay in touch this school year.
School-Age Care (SAC) is happy to announce that they are offering SAC to families whose children are returning to in-person school. The first date of SAC will be the first day that your child is back in school in person.
The district plans to continue daily meal delivery until further notice. However, there will be NO daily delivery of meals on Monday, January 25 and Tuesday, January 26 as there is no school.The meal kits pickup window is changing to 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

January 25-31 is Paraprofessional Recognition Week. In honor of the 158 paraprofessionals in School District 197 who fulfill critical roles in our schools and programs, we want to take this moment to say THANK YOU. In this time of distance, this short video only represents a portion of the many individuals who work tirelessly to support our students and staff but serves as a reminder every day of what ALL of these wonderful people do for all of us!
While COVID-19 has restricted the availability of in-person spectating for winter sports this season, we are committed to providing other ways for the community to still watch.

Every Thursday, School District 197 sends out the District Update, an electronic newsletter containing news about School District 197's students, staff, and upcoming events. The updates are sent to district staff, parents/guardians, and community members who have subscribed to receive it.
