About Encore

The Encore program is a childcare program for youth in grades five-eight. The before-school program is located at Friendly Hills and Heritage Middle Schools. The after-school program is held at the Noreen Activity Center in West St. Paul. Encore offers tutoring during homework time, Youth Services, a Character Counts program, Kids' Club, cooking, free time, arts, gym time and a healthy afternoon snack!

The purpose of Encore is to create a safe, warm environment where youth feel secure and respected. We will provide a stimulating environment for fun and adventure. Youth are encouraged to try new things and develop positive relationships with peers and staff. We promote an atmosphere of trust and respect and strive to assist youth in building strong self-esteem!

District transportation will pick up your child at Friendly Hills or Heritage and transport them to the Noreen Center after school. Transportation from the Noreen Center to home is not available. 


Fees

AM Care: The cost per day is $8.55. Pick your day and drop in scheduled are charged an additional fee.

PM Care: The cost per day is $11.35 per day. Pick your day and drop in schedules are charged an additional fee.

A registration fee of $55-$80 will be charged per child at the time of registration

This is my second year working with the SAC program. I also work for Heritage Middle school and coach different youth sports during the year.  In my free time I like  to golf, spend time with family, and keep up with my favorite sports teams.

I've been a part of the SAC Team since 2011.  I enjoy getting to know all the kids and watching them learn and grow!  I'm a graduate of the U of M, live in West St. Paul with my husband Len, and spend as much time as I can with my daughter Alex and her family.  In my spare time, I like to go on walks, read, dance and play with my cat Max!

I have been with ISD 197 since 2013, beginning with AVID, then School Age Care as a Special Education Para at Mendota, Friendly Hills, and  Encore.
My husband and I have four grown kids, four grandkids and another one on the way, and four grand doggies.
Cabin time with family and friends, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, reading, drawing and painting are some of the activities that I enjoy in my free time.
